JUNE | My Town!
San Francisco is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Images and stereotypes of our city abound. Many iconic images of San Francisco are literal: the outline of Sutro Tower against the sky, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. Some are more ephemeral: ‘the summer of love’, beat poets and hipsters, sailors and radicals.

However, for many of us, these images and places have no bearing on what exactly makes it special to us- what makes it HOME. What do you treasure about San Francisco; what inspires you? If you had one page to represent YOUR city what would be on it? How would you send a visual message to your friends who don’t live here, to the haters (or lovers) in L.A.? To the board of supervisors?
Come up with an image (a collage, a poster, a map, a cartoon, a flyer, or… surprise us!) that depicts your personal San Francisco.
